Hi Kathy, I have finished task 5. I made the humming bird on wide satin blanket binding and them turned that into a small gift bag. I also made a border pattern of flowers that I thought might look good on the seam of a crazy quilt. I think they could have lined up better. However I did not use all Delica beads because I needed a different color that I did not have in Delicas. If I were to do cross stitch beading patterns again I think I would use a beading loom to make it easier for me to line them up.
Just wonderful, love the little hummingbird! Loom work is great but also comes with an entirely different challenge...dealing with all of the threads by weaving them back into the work. Honestly, the more continuous passes of thread you can fill these lines of beads with after they are nicely in place...the better they will "line up". I have fun watching them as rail cars being nudged into place along a track...as they seem to wobble in like manner...then settle into place when filled. Well done! Hugs, Kathy
